The Storefront Ensemble is an eight-month arts program for students that includes an intensive writing curriculum and uses performance to encourage students to express themselves through art.
The Storefront Ensemble offers students the opportunity to write about themselves, their neighborhood, or the world, finding their own voice and the strength and importance of their personal stories. At the end of the program, students’ writing is adapted into a script and performed for their parents and the community.
Open to 7th and 8th grade students, the Storefront Ensemble focuses on strengthening school engagement, self-confidence, and social skills for youth through writing and performance.
